Two night stay
It would certainly make a generous present.
After a welcome drink on arrival, guests will enjoy a relaxing, two consecutive night stay for two people in a cosy double or twin room at Skeabost.
A full Scottish or continental breakfast is served on both mornings and each guest will have a £25 allowance redeemable against dishes from the a la carte menu on the 1st night of stay.
Guests who choose to dine in the hotel restaurant on the second night will also be offered a bottle of house wine as part of the deal.
And when you come to leave, there is no need to rush – a late check out is part of the offer.
There is a £15 per night supplement payable on Friday and Saturday night stays and there may be availability to upgrade to a Superior room for a supplement.
While Skeabost Hotel has handsome 19th century good looks, it also has modern comforts and features such as WiFi, ensuite rooms, hospitality trays and flat screen TVs.
Hotel golf course
Conveniently for golfers, the hotel has its own nine hole, eighteen tee course which weaves its way through the picturesque, landscaped, loch side gardens.
Great food, created with the finest, locally sourced seasonal ingredients is available in the handsome, wood panelled dining room. The kitchen team’s skills have been recognised with an AA Rosette.
Guests can end their evening with a drink in the billiards room, formerly the chapel of the original country house, or just relax with a malt whisky in the Cocktail Bar.
See & do
Skye is famous for its challenging climbing and breath-taking walking opportunities not to mention its historical attractions such as Dunvegan Castle.
In season, there is fishing available (additional fees payable) on the hotel’s private trout and salmon river.
Skeabost Country House Hotel has hosted guests for a very long time. This is what one of the more recent visitors thought on TripAdvisor:
‘Loved this place. What a lovely location and beautiful grounds. Stayed in Room 9 and had a lovely view. Nice gardens and loved the lake side views. Room was spacious. Bath and shower were large enough. Loved the towel warmer. Slept well in the comfortable bed. Nice and quiet. The common rooms were so nice. My husband appreciated the billiards room.
Wifi was excellent in the room. Dinner was excellent. Had haggis starter and then salmon as a main. Both were outstanding. Breakfast was also excellent. Eggs Benedict and porridge. Loved the cinnamon, honey and cream options with the porridge. The hot chocolate was great, best I had in Scotland. The people were so nice. The young waiter was wonderful.’
The run up to the festive period can be a slog. Snap up this Big Deal on a Skye break and enjoy a romantic getaway on the Misty Isle.
Alternatively, it would make a wonderful gift for someone to find in their stocking on Christmas morning – the vouchers are valid until the end of March.
