A straw poll of the Big Deal office reveals that if we could choose any super hero power then 94% of us would love to be able to make brilliant pizza.
The other 6% want to be able to fly. What are you going to do? Accounts have always been cuckoo.
We’re already looking out our capes for the Big Deal on a pizza-making master class at Fanelli’s Italian Restaurant in Merchant Square.
Over the course of a hands-on master class, the chef at Fanelli’s will reveal the secrets to creating traditional thin and crisp pizza.
Priding itself on serving a classic Italian style menu, Fanelli’s rustic selection is enhanced by the use of locally sourced, seasonal produce.
Highlights include classic Scottish flavours such as haggis and Stornoway black pudding but while Fanelli’s haggis cannelloni will always turn heads, it’s their traditional stone baked pizzas which are the real stars.
With this tasty Big Deal, an experienced chef will guide guests through the intricacies of creating your own pizza.
It’s up to you to try and recreate the magic by following chef’s rolling technique and choosing wisely from the selection of toppings on offer.
Once you have done your best, your pizza will be carefully fed in to the oven while you retire to the balcony overlooking the indoor Merchant Square – it’s a brilliant spot for people-watching.
Once it’s cooked, you will enjoy the pizza which you created with your own fair hands along with garlic bread and a salad.
Option 2 allows children to enjoy the experience. Youngsters can roll their own pizza aided by the Fanelli’s chef and then choose from a selection of toppings. This option includes soft drinks, pizza and ice cream for the children.
There are three sittings taking place on Friday nights for adults at 6.30pm, 7.30pm and 8.30pm – the perfect start to your weekend.
The children’s option has one sitting taking place on a Sunday morning at 11.30am.
The last time we ran this offer with Fanelli’s in Merchant Square, customers said they bought the deal because they liked Fanelli’s and fancied doing something a little different for a night out.
It also attracted customers of all ages. In particular, we liked the person who said that they had bought vouchers as a surprise present for her sister’s 70th birthday!
