Fly a light aircraft

This Big Deal has three components: a 30 minute flight in a light aircraft; a 30 minute session in a flight simulator and a three month Leading Edge membership.

Available seven days a week from Glasgow Airport, the first part of the deal welcomes you aboard for one of life’s must-do experiences: taking the flight controls and experiencing the thrill of flying a light aircraft over Scotland.

The experience starts with a safety briefing and familiarisation of the aircraft. Your route will also be explained and can often vary to accommodate any particular area you would like to see.

Your instructor will complete the required checks and complete the takeoff.

Once airborne, you will take the controls of the aircraft, under the supervision of a Civil Aviation Authority qualified instructor.

You will learn how to turn, climb, and bank the aircraft during your introductory, 50 minute lesson.

You will also get the chance to see some spectacular views of the local area.

Fly a virtual plane

Also available seven days a week at Glasgow airport, the second part of the offer is for one person to enjoy a 30 minute simulated flight experience.

Guests will have control of the Flight and Navigation Procedure Trainer as the virtual plane flies through different conditions.

Used to train commercial pilots, the simulator is incredibly lifelike. This is as close as you can get to flying a plane without having to know where the parachutes are kept.

Your flight will be directed by a Civil Aviation Authority instructor.

Leading Edge membership

This Big Deal includes a three month membership of Leading Edge. Club services for members include special offers on flights and simulators. Members can bring friends and family without further cost.

A student flight record is provided, meaning you can keep track of your progress. A flight discount of 10% and bookings without advance payment are just a couple of the perks of the membership.
