Is Sunday lunch the best meal of the week? Of course it is and that’s not just in comparison to the horrors of the Monday lunchtime sarnie eaten al desko.
Sunday lunch is for chilling with friends, family and lovers over great food and maybe a couple of bottles of something red and relaxing.
Thanks to today’s Big Deal with Malmaison Brasserie in Glasgow, you won’t even need to do the dishes afterwards.
Like all the Mal restaurants, the Malmaison Brasserie in Glasgow is keen on local produce and classic British recipes.
The menu changes regularly but typical choices on the Brasserie’s Sunday lunch might include a starter of soused mackerel and potato salad; roast leg of Highland lamb studded with garlic and desserts such as the sticky toffee pudding or the strawberry panna cotta.
One of the first Malmaison hotels to open, the Glasgow branch, formerly a church, is also one of its most striking.
The Brasserie is in the building’s vaulted basement and it is a moodily good looking space.
The Brasserie is also popular with 5pm diners who have given it a lot of good reviews. Eating earlier this month, diner Linda Quinn reckoned that it offered:
‘Fabulous food. Great service. Great value for money.’
If you want to join the chorus of praise and worship at the altar of the Mal’s Sunday lunch, then today’s Big Deal is:
£12.50 per person for a three course Sunday lunch at the Malmaison Brasserie in Glasgow; a 50% saving on the standard £25
