In some parts of Italy, children don’t open their Christmas presents until the day of Epiphany on the 6th of January.

Fortunately, around these parts, we don’t have to be so patient before celebrating the season at the Di Maggio’s restaurants.

Available from the 1st to the 23rd of December, this offer is for one person to enjoy a fantastic three course festive menu at six of the hugely popular Di Maggio’s restaurants in Glasgow, Hamilton, East Kilbride and Airdrie.

Italian American dishes

This tasty Big Deal is for one person to have three courses plus your choice of tea or coffee from the following festive menu.

Option one is available Sunday to Thursday. Option two is available on Fridays and Saturdays.

Both options are available at the following Di Maggio’s: West End, Shawlands, Airdrie, East Kilbride, Hamilton and Theatreland.

Caramelized onion & cumin-roasted carrot soup – a hearty winter soup of caramelized onions & cumin-roasted carrots (v)

Italian sausage & ricotta arancini – balls of risotto rice stuffed with spicy sausage & ricotta cheese crumbed in panko & fried. Served with Napoli sauce

Prawn cocktail – North Atlantic prawns in a traditional Marie Rose sauce on a bed of lettuce, tomato & cucumber with a wedge of lemon

Di Maggio’s all star meatballs – meatballs in a rich tomato & chilli sauce topped with melted mozzarella, served with fresh bread

Crostini misti – a trio of Italian breads loaded with three toppings of fresh mushrooms, mixed peppers & fresh tomato, red onion & basil (v)

Turkey involtini – roasted turkey breast rolled with apple & cranberry stuffing & wrapped in bacon, served with chipolatas, Tuscan roast potatoes, seasonal vegetables & a rich red wine jus

Escalope of chicken Milanese – pan-fried breaded breast of chicken served with spaghetti in a rich tomato & basil sauce with a wedge of lemon

Ravioli salsa rosa – pillows of pasta filled with ricotta cheese & spinach, topped with our creamy tomato sauce (v)

Spaghetti on the rocks – spaghetti with prawns, shrimps, mussels & calamari in our rich tomato sauce

Salmon Di Maggio – pan-fried salmon with king prawns in a tarragon & white wine cream sauce, roast potatoes & seasonal vegetables

Pizza Natale – our hand-stretched pizza topped with mixed roasted peppers, minced white onions, Cajun chicken, chorizo & a dash of chilli oil

Dessert

Christmas cheesecake – rich cheesecake with crumbled Christmas pudding folded through on a crunchy biscuit base

Sticky toffee pudding – traditional sticky toffee & date pudding drizzled with hot caramel sauce with your choice of cream or ice cream

Di Maggio’s trifle – a sponge base soaked in Marsala & topped with fruit, jelly, custard & whipped cream, finished off with toasted almonds
