The French for ‘afternoon tea’ is ‘thé de cinq heures’ or the more clunky ‘thé de l’après-midi’.

The offer is for ten people to have a French-themed afternoon tea in the restaurant or the recently refurbished Montmartre suite at La Bonne Auberge.

A contemporary and modern private dining space, the Montmartre suite has its own bar area and a waiting team dedicated to looking after its guests.

Available from 2pm to 4pm, seven days a week, this Big Deal is for ten people to enjoy a spectacular French-themed afternoon tea in either the private dining suite or the restaurant at La Bonne Auberge.

Your afternoon tea ‘élégant’ begins with a croque monsieur toastie and quiche Lorraine before moving onto a freshly baked fruit scone with Normandy butter and preserves.

The fancy cakes are magnificent: gateau millefeuille, a chocolate bavarois mousse, lemon macaron and red fruit bavarois.

Of course, it is all accompanied by ethically sourced Suki tea or locally roasted Matthew Algie coffee. Both are bottomless.

Naturellement, you are welcome to add more guests or drinks to the package. For instance, you could a glass of fizz on arrival for £3 per person or more guests at £15 per person.

The private dining spaces are located in the Holiday Inn, with food prepared in La Bonne Auberge by the restaurant’s chefs.
