Ayrshire coast

Handily located a short 30 miles from Glasgow, The Marine Hotel has long been one of the gems of the Ayrshire coast. It’s particularly popular with golfers who love the fact that it overlooks the 18th hole of the Royal Troon course.

Purpose built in 1894, the hotel was given 4 AA stars in 1912 and has maintained that rating ever since – the only Scottish hotel to have done so.

While lunch or dinner are not included in the offer, an extra attraction at the hotel is the recently opened Two Fat Ladies restaurant – the first time that the hugely popular Two Fats group have opened a branch outside of Glasgow.

Relaxing stay

Available seven days a week, option one of this tranquil Big Deal is for two people to enjoy a relaxing overnight stay with late check out to 1pm in one of The Marine’s double or twin rooms.

As well as a full Scottish breakfast in the morning, each guest will enjoy a 30 minute spa treatment in the hotel’s beauty rooms.

Each guest can choose one of the following treatments: a back, neck and shoulder massage; mini Decléor facial; mini manicure or mini pedicure.

Option two, also available seven days a week, is for two people to stay two consecutive nights in a double or twin room with breakfast each morning and one 30 minute spa treatment for each guest during your stay.

Friday night stays will be charged a £20 supplement, and Saturday night stays charged a £30 supplement.

Leisure Facilities

Finally, the Deal includes full use of the spa’s soothing facilities including the gym, swimming pool, sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi and solarium.

‘Relaxing day… The day was excellent from start to finish. We were greeted by the friendly spa staff and taken on time for the two treatments – a back massage and a Decléor facial. The therapists were well trained and did an excellent job with both treatments. We left the room feeling very relaxed. We continued our day in the spa going for a swim, using the steam room and the Jacuzzi…’
