Top boffins recently revealed their research into the genetic make-up of Glasgow.
It turns out that the city of Glasgow’s DNA is 20% banter, 20% ginger and 60% Italian food.
Take up today’s Big Deal and enjoy an Italian meal at one of seven branches of Di Maggio’s – the popular Italian restaurants that always give it 110%.
Dedicated to offering great dining for all the family, it will come as no surprise that Di Maggio’s have twice won the Best Family Friendly Restaurant award at the Scottish Restaurant Awards.
Italian American dishes
This tasty Big Deal is for a three course meal from Di Maggio’s special Big Deal menu.
It’s available in all seven Di Maggio’s but you might want to check out the sleek new look of the West End branch on Ruthven Lane.
Recently refurbished, it now features a cosmopolitan mix of comfortable booth seating; iconic Life magazine covers and an eye-catching, raised open fire.
Great choice of dishes
Packed with the dishes which have made the Di Maggio’s restaurants so popular, the Di Maggio’s Big Deal menu includes starters like the baby back ribs; the traditional prawn cocktail; deep fried mozzarella cubes, nachos, loaded skins and, of course, the unforgettable Bad Ass wings: crispy Louisiana hot wings served with celery and a blue cheese dip.
Pasta & pizza
As well as a chicken and mushroom risotto, there are seventeen different pastas to choose from.
Alongside old faves like the spaghetti carbonara or New York style meatballs and spaghetti, there are options such as the roast chicken rigatoni and the veggie mezzeluna salsa rosa: pasta filled with ricotta cheese and spinach topped with a creamy tomato sauce.
The range of thirteen pizzas on offer includes the classic Margherita; the Suzannah made with smoked chicken and bacon; pepperoni and the ever popular Palermo, topped with Italian sausage, Canadian bacon and caramelised onions.
Tea or coffee is included in the Deal and you can finish with a tasty Di Maggio’s Oyster – wafer shells dipped in vanilla flavoured coating and sprinkled with coconut, filled with soft, light mallow and a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
