Lunchtime Taste of Paris menu
Steak, fries and Béarnaise sauce
Glass of house wine plus coffee and petit fours
Award-winning, family-run restaurant
The Eiffel Tower; Sacré Coeur de Montmartre and Champs Elysées are all very recognisable emblems of Paris but they all have one fatal flaw: you can’t scoff them.
For a much more satisfying but equally iconic flavour of the French capital, chew over today’s Big Deal on a lunchtime meal at the family-run Cail Bruich West restaurant in Glasgow’s West End.
Taste of Paris
You will have to imagine the accordions playing in the background for this one but today’s Big Deal is as Gallic as it gets without touching down at Charles de Gaulle.
This lunchtime deal is for one person to enjoy an 8oz bavette steak with skinny fries plus Béarnaise sauce at the award-winning Cail Bruich.
As part of the deal, you will enjoy a glass of house wine with your meal and coffee and petit fours to finish.
Run by brothers, Paul and Chris Charalambous, Cail Bruich West has notched up plenty of accolades since opening in 2006.
From being recommended in the Michelin Guide to being awarded an AA Rosette last year, professional critics have been quick to praise the way that the kitchen uses its seasonal Scottish produce.
Of course, the critics that really matter are the paying public and, at the time of writing, Cail Bruich West has a very healthy 4.3/5 on the 5pm restaurant site.
This is the short but sweet verdict of a recent diner:
‘If anybody asked me for advice on a place to eat out, I’d recommend Cail Bruich West.’
Can’t say fairer than that.
