Right now, we’re sandwiched between playful summer cocktail season and syrupy winter liqueur season. In other words, we’re in autumn – season of fine wine and misty mornings.

So how better to celebrate this than by sampling a range of Italian wines, chosen by the experts over at Majestic?

You’ll have a choice of four locations for your tasting evening – Bearsden, Stirling, and both Leith Walk and Fort Kinnaird in Edinburgh. For each, you’ll arrive at 6.30pm, be handed a glass of fizz, then sample eight Italian wines.

You can expect to try out a wide range of regional flavours, from bright, fresh whites to deep, rich reds, before your tipsy journey home at 8pm.

Let’s not forget the cheeses. Although the specific varieties aren’t confirmed yet, we can promise that they will be Italian and that they’re bound to be lush.

How do we know that? Because Italy is one of the busiest cheese regions in the world, with over 450 varieties. So let’s say they know a thing or two about ‘formaggio’.
