Takeaway options

Available seven days a week from 5pm until 10.30pm for delivery or collection, the Big Deal Option one is for a meal consisting of two main course curries, a boiled or fried rice and your choice of a plain naan bread or two chapatis.

Option two, also available seven days a week from 5pm until 10.30pm for delivery or collection, is for a Heat and Eat takeaway meal consisting of one pakora of your choice, 1 chef’s special salad, 1 vegetable main dish, 2 meat main dishes (chicken) one fried or boiled rice, and a plain naan or two chapatis.

Choose between home delivery or collection from the Argyle Street restaurant. There is a £2 delivery charge, paid directly to Ashoka.

Authentic Indian cuisine

The Ashoka menu selection includes the time-tested classics like bhoona, rogan josh or korma. Note that option one curries over the value of £7.95 will incur a surcharge of £1.95, and king prawn curries carry a surcharge of £2.95.

The Heat and Eat option two features freshly-prepared meals from the Ashoka delicatessen, for you to heat at your convenience, with a wide choice of menu items.

Choose from vegetable or chicken pakora, or opt for a substitute chicken tikka starter.

Chef’s special salad choice varies on seasonal produce available at the time and will be a green salad, chicken tikka salad, or prawn cocktail salad. 

Vegetable main dish options are saag aloo, tarka daal or desi chana masala. Meat dishes are chicken korma, lamb chasni, chicken tikka masala, lamb bhoona, chicken bhoona and lamb balti.

Optional upgrades for an extra 50p include swapping rice for coconut rice or changing a plain naan to a peshwari naan.
