Glasgow without Italian food would be like chips without salt; bread without butter or indeed Batman without Robin.
Celebrate one of the city’s best loved cuisines with today’s Big Deal on a fantastic three course meal at one of seven Di Maggio’s restaurants.
Valid from 29th March to 21st May 2017, this offer would be ideal to get the mob together for some food.
You could buy a few and treat the family to a night out – just the job to keep everyone happy until the summer sun appears.
Lively, friendly and welcoming, the Di Maggio’s restaurants have a well earned reputation for taking great care of their guests.
Dedicated to offering great dining for all the family, it will come as no surprise that Di Maggio’s have twice won the Best Family Friendly Restaurant award at the Scottish Restaurant Awards.
Italian American dishes
This tasty Big Deal is for one person to have three courses from the special Big Deal menu at any Di Maggio’s restaurant.
Available Sunday to Friday at six of the Di Maggio’s restaurants (Sunday to Thursday at the city centre branch on Royal Exchange Square), this offer is for a starter and main course plus a Di Maggio’s pavlova sundae – one scoop of vanilla ice cream with mixed berries, whipped cream and crunchy meringue.
Great choice of dishes
Packed with tempting options, the menu includes eight starters; a dozen different pizzas and a choice of sixteen pastas.
Starters include old favourites such as bruschetta; nachos served with chilli ground beef and hot cheese topped with sour cream and jalapenos; the traditional prawn cocktail and, our personal favourite, Di Maggio’s Crispy Bad Ass Louisiana Hot Wings served with celery sticks and blue cheese dip.
A great variety of wood-fired, thin crust pizzas are available, including the Americana (Italian salami and spicy sausage with mixed roasted peppers); Cajun chicken (Cajun marinated chicken fillets with smoky roasted peppers and onions) and the Verdi (spinach, rocket, feta, chillies, Parmesan and chilli oil).
From the sixteen pasta dishes, choose from options including the fusilli Espanola, cooked with chorizo sausage, charred chicken, spinach, Parmesan and cream; the fettuccine Di Maggio, made with cream, wild mushroom, courgette and oregano, and the lasagne fomoso, Di Maggio’s all time best seller.
And, of course, we have to mention the Di Maggio’s spaghetti and meatballs – meatballs in a classic Napoli sauce.
Lots of happy customers
The Di Maggio’s restaurants are a massive hit with 5pm Restaurant customers and their Big Deals sell like hot cakes. Here are a few recent quotes left by diners at the Hamilton Di Maggio’s diners on the 5pm site:
