“Rockin’ around the real Nordmann Fir Christmas tree, everybody’s having fun.”
OK, so what it lacks in terms of scanning, it certainly makes up for in imagery.
Because just picture it – a real fir Christmas tree in your living room, lit with twinkly lights and spreading lovely festive scents all over the place.
You can pretend you are in a Charles Dickens novel or, better still, a Lapland village with Santa as your neighbour.
But what’s that you are saying – ‘yes, but I don’t want to have to clean up all those messy needles’?
Never fear, because Nordmann firs are loved for their low needle drop. It’s all good.
Spruce the place up this Christmas
Pining for a real tree this year? Then today’s Big Deal from Fife Christmas Trees at Fife Leisure Park is for you.
You will have a choice of a 4ft, 5ft, 6ft or 7ft Nordmann fir tree, grown locally on the Black Isle.
What’s so special about Nordmann firs? Well, they are actually one of the most popular species of Christmas tree, due to their rich green colour, full shape and lovely aroma. (Just imagine a Christmas tree from a storybook and you get the idea).
No running around hoovering up mess either, because Nordmann firs have soft needles that are slow to drop. Black Isles ones are also cut late to keep their freshness, meaning they will last into the New Year.
All trees are sourced from a British Christmas Tree Growers Association forest and will be netted for easy transport.

It’s all made easy, as the team will share tips on how to make sure your tree looks its best during the entire festive season. They will also give you a hand carrying your netted fir to the car.
Fife Leisure Park is handy to get to as it’s just a 35-minute drive from Edinburgh and an hour from Glasgow. Trees will be ready for collection from 28th November until 22nd December 2018.
You will be able to pick yours up any day of the week, right up until 8.45pm (there is a £1 supplement per tree for weekend collection).
Fife Christmas Trees has a fantastic 4.8/5 overall score on its Facebook page. Here are a few rave customer reviews:
‘I have bought my trees from here for a number of years and I’ve loved them all. They always last from the start of Dec right through to the New Year. Barely any needle drop and when there is, it’s due to my dogs happy tails knocking the branches. Looking forward to upgrading to a 7ft tree this year.’
‘I won a Facebook competition for a free tree from here, and was absolutely delighted with the tree – it looked great and lasted really well with hardly any needle drop. We were so impressed that we’ll definitely be back next Christmas to buy one.’
‘We bought our tree early December and have just put it out now and it still looks fantastic. We are sad to see it go. We loved having a real tree and followed the watering instructions carefully till we went away for a week at New Year. After a week without further watering it still looked fresh. Very impressed indeed!’
