Menus shift with the seasons, but sample starters include the Cullen skink, the spiced parsnip soup, and the roast pear, walnut and Strathdon blue salad.

Mains might feature the grilled seabass fillets, the 12 hour braised beef brisket, and the pumpkin tortellini, as well as a selection of steaks from the grill.

For pudding, expect temptations such as the warm apple crumble tart, the ‘2 pots’ – crème brûlée with red currants and spiced pear, white chocolate biscotti – and the sticky toffee sponge pudding.
