Have you heard of the new Scottish lifestyle trend, coorie?
It’s pretty much Scotland’s version of hygge and involves being as cosy as possible in a Scottish way; think relaxing by a open fire with a tartan blanket and a wee dram.
This deal from The Inn at Lathones in the East Neuk of Fife pretty much epitomises coorie. The four hundred year old coaching inn has a log fire, comfort food dishes on the menu and plenty of tartan blankets scattered around for curling up into.
Booking a stay there would be a wonderful wintery treat to kick off the new year.

“My husband and I recently stayed at the Inn for two nights. We were made to feel very welcome by the young girl on reception from the minute we walked in. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly, we were shown to our room and we were more than happy with it! The view over the fields with lots of sheep, very peaceful and relaxing, exactly what we were looking for. We had dinner in the restaurant on the first night the food was second to none, we cancelled our dinner out in St Andrew’s so we could eat there the second night too. The cosy little bar was full of guests, there was a great atmosphere! Both the girl who looked after us in the restaurant and the lovely girl behind the bar could not have done enough for and the other guests from what we seen! We can’t thank Greg and his team enough for making our stay amazing!! We will most definitely be back at the next opportunity we get!”
“Room was in small cottage-like building. Comfortable bed, clean room. Highlight was the view out our window of sheep grazing in the field beside us. Dinner was excellent, prix fixe for 2 or 3 courses. Good service and a cosy atmosphere.”
