One or two night stay

This deal for a stay at Rufflets Hotel has three options. Option one is for an overnight stay for two with breakfast. Option two adds dinner. The third option of the deal is for a two night stay with dinner on both nights and breakfast on both mornings.

All options are available seven days a week until 31st March. There is a £35 supplement per room, per night on Friday and Saturday nights, payable directly to the hotel.

Set in ten acres of sculpted gardens, Rufflets Hotel is a turreted mansion house located just minutes from the golf courses and beaches of St Andrews.

The hotel has 23 individually styled bedrooms in different shapes and sizes.

This deal is for a stay in a classic double or twin room (upgrades are available payable directly to the hotel).

All rooms have a digital TV, ipod dock, complimentary WiFi, a hairdryer, an iron and trouser press, robes and ensuite bathrooms with spacious walk in power showers and Molton Brown toiletries.

Restaurant and bar

Options two and three of this deal include a £45 dinner allowance per person per night to spend in the hotel’s Seasons restaurant.

Seasons overlooks Rufflets’ spectacular gardens and creates dishes using fresh vegetables, herbs and fruits grown in the gardens themselves. Other ingredients are sourced from the rich larder Fife has to offer; beef, lamb, poultry, game and pork is sourced from the butcher John Henderson, fish and seafood come from East Neuk fishing villages, and eggs (free range) are from the Blyth’s Farm.

The menu at Seasons changes, unsurprisingly, with the seasons, but guests can expect to dine on starters like fillet of sea bass with apple, fennel, celery, Pittenweem langoustines and lemon balm, and textures of cauliflower with quinoa, pearl barley, truffle and leek ash.

Mains may include corn fed chicken breast served with confit garden leek hearts, prune puree and jus gras, and twice-baked Anster cheese souffle served with purple sprouting broccoli, roasted garden beetroot, and Anster tuile.

Rufflets also has a cosy bar lounge which serves over 100 malt whiskies and 40 gins, many from Scotland.

On winter days it’s perfect for curling up at the roaring fireplace and in warmer temperatures the double doors open out to the garden’s West Lawn.
