Have you heard of the new Scottish lifestyle trend, coorie?
It’s pretty much Scotland’s version of hygge and involves being as cosy as possible in a Scottish way – think relaxing by an open fire with a blanket and a wee dram.
The Inn at Lathones in the East Neuk of Fife pretty much epitomises coorie. The 400-year-old coaching inn has a real log fire, comfort food and plenty of tartan blankets scattered around for curling up into.
If this sounds romantic to you, then why not book an autumn or winter treat for two with today’s Big Deal?

The Inn At Lathones has been picking up positive reviews on TripAdvisor. Here’s a recent glowing report:
‘My husband and I recently stayed at the Inn for two nights. We were made to feel very welcome by the young girl on reception from the minute we walked in. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly, we were shown to our room and we were more than happy with it! The view over the fields with lots of sheep, very peaceful and relaxing, exactly what we were looking for. We had dinner in the restaurant on the first night the food was second to none, we cancelled our dinner out in St. Andrew’s so we could eat there the second night too. The cosy little bar was full of guests, there was a great atmosphere! Both the girl who looked after us in the restaurant and the lovely girl behind the bar could not have done enough for and the other guests from what we seen! We can’t thank Greg and his team enough for making our stay amazing!! We will most definitely be back at the next opportunity we get!’
