Your treatment will take place in one of Guerlain’s custom-designed treatment rooms, designed to look and feel like the cabin of a ship. So while being pampered you can lie back and imagine you are on a long, balmy ocean voyage to a mythical island.

Your spa day is available in three forms. Option one is for one person to have a 30 minute taster facial and 30 minute massage.

Options two and three and for one person or two people to each have either a 30 minute taster facial and 60 minute massage, or 60 minute facial and 30 minute massage.

Signature Caledonian Chic – This unique body massage is exclusive to Guerlain Spa at Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh. The advanced massage techniques in this signature massage provide a complete relaxing and nurturing experience. A combination of enveloping movements quiet the mind, while deeper strokes will melt away tension and relieve tired aching muscles, leaving you feeling at your very best

A bit of fizz will be added to the day with a cheeky glass of Prosecco, which will hopefully add to the top-to-toe tingling you will get from the treatment.

Then, after your massage or facial, you’ll have access to luxury facilities including a relaxation lounge, indoor pool, steam room and sauna as well as a plush robe and flip flops.

Wonderful Waldorf

The Caledonian Waldorf Astoria is a historic Edinburgh landmark in the shadow of Edinburgh Castle. It is based on Princes Street, just a 15 minute stroll from both Waverley and Haymarket train stations.

After your day of pampering, you might enjoy afternoon tea in the hotel’s Peacock Alley. This elegant cafe bar takes its inspiration from the historic New York Waldorf Astoria of old, meaning that it wouldn’t look out of place in a roaring 1940s Hollywood musical (so you could even order a martini or three to get into the spirit of things).

Alternatively, you could enjoy a meal in one of the hotel’s two impressive restaurants – The Pompadour or the Galvin Brasserie. They are both the vision of Michelin-starred chefs, the Galvin Brothers.
