With today’s Big Deal, available as two options, you can experience just how his vision of local, honest and simple tastes on the plate.

Rib-eye steak lunch

Available noon-1.30pm, Thursday to Saturday, the lunch offer is for two people to each have a succulent rib-eye steak main course, cooked to order.

A chilled glass of house Champagne will help you savour the top quality steak.

Tasting Menu dinner

Option 2, also for two people, is for Chef Pallister’s signature tasting menu.

A set, six course menu designed to demonstrate the kitchen’s many skills, this gastronomic feast changes with the seasons. Here is a typical sample menu:

Pressed, soy braised pork with salad teriyaki and apple ginger purée

Smoked haddock tartare with bacon and cockle dressing

Lime fizz

Guinea fowl chasseur with spring vegetables, spiced Ratte potatoes and smoked sausage

Selection of Scottish cheeses with grapes, quince and handmade oatcakes

Grown-up hot chocolate with a vanilla sugar doughnut and chocolate ice cream

Bookings for the tasting menu dinner can be made 6.30pm-8.30pm, Tuesday to Friday.
