The four-star Dalmahoy Hotel & Country Club is impressively situated in 1,000 acres of parkland.
With spectacular views to Edinburgh Castle and the Forth Bridges, it offers an oasis of tranquillity just twenty minutes from Edinburgh city centre.
It also has a real sense of history. Mary Queen of Scots is said to have visited the estate back in the day.

Hotel & golf resort
Dating to the early 18th century, the A-listed main building is a baronial manor and it retains many gorgeous period features.
Sitting alongside the original architecture are all the modern facilities expected of a 21st century hotel.
Not least of these is the splendid Dalmahoy Leisure Club with its indoor swimming pool. The estate also has not one but two 18-hole golf courses.
Prosecco on arrival
The Big Deal is for two people to enjoy an overnight stay in a classic double or twin room. As well as a bottle of Prosecco on arrival, the offer includes a three course dinner in the Pentland Restaurant and a full Scottish breakfast. A late check-out to 2pm means that you won’t have to rush breakfast.
If you enjoy golf, option two adds a round of golf for each guest to the package.
All guests are welcome to use the leisure club with its indoor heated swimming pool, sauna, steam room and state of the art gymnasium.
This offer is available Sunday to Thursday.
Classic rooms feature cool, contemporary looks along with Hypnos beds, smart TVs, free Wi-Fi and tea and coffee making facilities.
The Pentland Restaurant
Overlooking the championship golf course and with views to Edinburgh Castle, The Pentland Restaurant serves divine dishes in an historic manor house setting.
The importance of local produce from sustainable sources is reflected in the Scottish-inspired menus. The chefs produce a range of seasonal menus, using hand-picked ingredients, some of which are freshly grown in the on-site herb garden.
Where possible, the kitchen works with the finest local producers to source the very best ingredients.
Supplements apply to certain dishes.

Romantic getaway
