Damm 27

Breaking news — the Damm has burst open.

And let’s just say that we are pretty darn excited about it.

In other words, Damm 27 café bar has recently launched on Causewayside. Occupying the spot where The Victoria used to be, you will now find a totally revamped, beautifully styled space serving up casual continental cuisine.

Try it out with today’s Big Deal on mussels or burgers for two with optional dessert or drink each.

Meal for two

Damm 27 offers a range of dishes showcasing the flavours of Europe.

The Big Deal is for a choice of burger or mussel pot.

Option one adds dessert.

Option two adds on a bottle of Moretti beer, glass of house wine or soft drink each.

This summer dining offer is available Sunday to Friday at various times until 30th July 2019.

Mussel pot or burgers

Mussel pot choices include the Normandy, cooked with dry cider, apples, mustard, cream and fresh herbs, or the Andalusian with tomato, chilli and chorizo.

Or why not opt for a burger like The Napoleon, a Gallic delight with a made-from-scratch beef patty, Roquefort, bone marrow butter, bacon and truffle mayo? Vegans aren’t left out either and can tuck into the Da Vinci, with Portobello mushroom, polenta, roasted red pepper and vegan parmesan.

If you choose option one, dessert choices can change, but expect decadent options such as Champagne sorbet with rhubarb sherbet and gin gel.

Chic continental café bar

Exposed stonework, leather banquette seating and mellow golden tones all combine to give Damm 27 a vibe that is cosy, chic and rustic. A late night licence and weekend DJs keeps things lively.

The café bar is a short walk away from The Meadows, Summerhall and the University of Edinburgh. Holyrood Park and Prestonfield Golf Club are also nearby.
