That’s why we’re thrilled that Forty Eight bar in Edinburgh is offering a choice of sharing platters for two with a glass of wine each, which you can snatch up with today’s Big Deal.

Platter paradise

Today’s Big Deal has two options:

Option one is for a sharing platter of a mixed cheese board. Your selection will include a variety of cheeses from I J Mellis Cheesemongers, plus sun-dried tomatoes, red onion chutney and oatcakes.

Option two is for a sharing platter of mixed charcuterie. This will include a selection of mixed cured meats with olives, roasted peppers and warm bread.

Both will come accompanied by a glass of red, white or rosé wine each.

This deal is available seven days a week from 8am to 10pm, until 20th August 2018.

Rustic dining spot

Forty Eight is a hidden gem on Howe Street in Edinburgh, not far from Queen Street Gardens and The Scottish Gallery.

A small but perfectly formed rustic-style cocktail and tapas bar, you can head here to tuck into light bites, mixed tapas and a selection of heady concoctions.
