According to several song writers, three is a magic number.
We agree. After waving our wand over today’s Big Deal, we have come up with three enchanting options on a dinner, bed and breakfast stay at the stylish New County hotel in Perth city centre.
This tasty Big Deal is for two people to enjoy a one or two night stay in the award-winning New County Hotel on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis.
Run by the Boyle family in the heart of Perth, the New County is an elegant, comfortable hotel which prides itself on its warm welcome. Guests can look forward to free WiFi throughout the hotel and flat screen TVs in all the stylish ensuite bedrooms.
Today’s Big Deal is available as three different packages:
Option 1 is for two people to enjoy a Sunday night stay at the New County Hotel with a 2 course dinner and glass of wine in the newly refurbished Gavin’s Bistro Bar. A full Scottish breakfast the next morning will set guests up for a day in Perthshire.
A winner of the 2012 Scottish Food Pub of the Year award, Gavin’s Bistro Bar is a friendly and informal spot that offers freshly cooked dishes made with Scottish ingredients. Think along the lines of roast Ayrshire pork belly served with creamy mash and cumin roasted carrot.
Option 2 is for two people to stay Monday – Saturday. The deal includes a full Scottish breakfast and a 2 course dinner in the Opus One restaurant, the proud holder of 2 AA Rosettes.
The happy subject of several glowing restaurant reviews, Opus One offers the finest ingredients from Perthshire’s larder, creatively prepared and executed with meticulous precision and flair.
Option 3 is for two people to stay for two consecutive nights on a B&B basis with a two course dinner in Opus One on the first night.
Whichever option you choose, today’s Big Deal with the New County Hotel would be ideal for a romantic getaway. The hotel’s central location also makes it ideal as a base for exploring all that Perthshire has to offer.
The New County Hotel has won several awards over the years but we’ll leave the final words to this recent TripAdvisor entry:
‘Group weekend away. The rooms we were given were all a bit different and all clean and fresh. Our package included dinner in the Opus Restaurant and certainly didn’t disappoint, each course was beautifully presented and tasted as good as it looked. We had a lovely breakfast and booked dinner in the lounge bar for the evening. Again the food was lovely and highly recommended. It was so good that if I visited Perth just for the day I would consider going in for something to eat. All in all we all had a lovely stay and as the hotel is in the centre of town, you are not far from shops, visitor attractions and pubs. The manager and his staff could not do enough for us and I would recommend this hotel to anyone who would like a relaxing stay in Perth.’
