Part of the luxurious Georgian Nira Caledonia hotel on Gloucester Place, Blackwood’s Bar & Grill specialises in the finest Scottish meats, game and seafood.

The ambiance is elegant but inviting, with soft candlelight setting the mood for relaxed dinner a deux.

Available seven days, from 5pm to 9.30pm, today’s Handpicked Deal offers a Chateaubriand or six-bone rack of lamb for two diners to share.

Grill specials

Pride of place on the menu at Blackwood’s goes to the Josper charcoal grill section, prepare meat which has been meticulously sourced.

Beef comes from traditional Highland cattle, reared outside on grass and heathers before being aged for 21 days. Hebridean lamb is foreshore grazed meat by Highland Drovers.

Chateaubriand or rack of lamb for two (500g) comes with roast cherry tomatoes, fine beans, wild mushrooms, hand-cut chips, salad leaves, sauce Béarnaise and a red wine reduction.
