With more Michelin stars than any UK city outside of London, Edinburgh is a gourmet paradise.
The only difficulty is deciding which of the city’s many fine restaurants to visit.
Tuck in to today’s Big Deal with Gourmet Edinburgh and a party of six can enjoy a fantastic six course meal split between two of the city’s best restaurants.
Double your dining experience
A food-loving, family-run business, Gourmet Edinburgh was formed to showcase the city’s innovative dining scene.
Available for lunch and dinner, Tuesday to Thursday, this is how the offer works. A Mercedes transporter will pick up the party from their home or hotel and whisk you off to Stac Polly, a well established Scottish restaurant in the heart of the Georgian New Town.
In this much praised, atmospheric restaurant, guests will enjoy the first three courses of their meal accompanied by a glass of wine.
After a leisurely three courses, the party will be chauffeur driven to The Stockbridge Restaurant, a cosy, family-run restaurant in one of the capital’s most happening neighbourhoods. A further three, delicious courses and another glass of wine will be provided by the talented team of Jason Gallagher and Jane Walker.
Stac Polly and The Stockbridge Restaurant have their own styles but both make best use of Scotland’s fantastic natural larder. From Aberdeen Angus beef to Scottish salmon via hill lamb and West Coast seafood, Scotland produces some of the best natural ingredients in the world.
With dishes taken from that day’s a la carte, your menu will vary according to what is in season so, while we can’t tell you about specific dishes, we can guarantee that it will offer an authentic taste of Scotland.
Prolong the pleasure
The offer is for six people to enjoy a six course lunch or dinner split between two of Edinburgh’s most popular restaurants. For an extra £10 per person, there is also the option to start your experience with a personally guided, alternative, historic tour of Edinburgh accompanied by a glass of fizz.
Another option, again for £10 per person, is to start your experience with an aperitif. Whether you want to experience one of Edinburgh’s traditional howffs or one of the city’s most fashionable cocktail bars, Gourmet Edinburgh have a list for you to choose from and can advise which might best suit you. This option typically includes two drinks or one cocktail.
Both add-on options include group pick up from accommodation.
Business or pleasure
This brilliant offer with Gourmet Edinburgh would be perfect for an unusual celebration with family and friends but would also make a great impression as part of a corporate entertainment programme. Of course, it is also the ideal way for visitors to the city to enjoy a unique take on the capital’s vibrant restaurant scene.
