The kitchen sources meat from local farms along with fish and shellfish from Arbroath. Cheeses are from the Banchory Devenick Dairy while the breads come from the Manna House Bakery in Leith or are baked daily in the hotel.

As well as a sparkling cocktail on arrival, today’s Big Deal is for a three course dinner for two, chosen from the Seasonal Scottish set menu.
The offer is available 5pm-9pm, seven days a week. There is a £10 supplement on Friday and Saturday bookings payable direct to restaurant.
Menu highlights
The Seasonal Scottish menu offers starters options of duck liver parfait, vegetarian haggis and beetroot parcels, plus chilli fishcake bites.
Main courses might be the crispy pork belly with spring onion mash; a fillet of sea bass with roast red pepper gnocchi, or grilled goats cheese and halloumi salad with sun-blushed tomatoes, spiced new potatoes and chilli dressing.
Set menu desserts include sticky toffee pudding and traditional Cranachan served with a chocolate spoon.
