How do you see three centuries in 90 minutes?

Simple.

Bag today’s Big Deal on a Blackness and Three Bridges Cruise with Forth Boat Tours and you’ll enjoy incredible views of the 19th century Forth Rail Bridge; the 20th century road bridge and the 21st century Queensferry Crossing.

All three showcase amazing engineering skills and this Big Deal is a unique way to see them all from a whole new perspective.

The tour also takes in views of Blackness Castle, as featured in Outlander; HMS Prince of Wales, the new Royal Navy super aircraft carrier and the Fife coastline.

Set sail with Forth Boat Tours

The offer is very straightforward. The Big Deal is for two or four people to take the Blackness and Forth Bridges Cruise. A complimentary scone, preserve, cream plus choice of tea or coffee for each guest is included in the offer.

If you fancy a jaunt during December, you’ll be able to feel more festive as the cream tea is replaced with mulled wine and a mince pie each.

You can see the cruise timetable here. Each cruise lasts approximately 90 minutes.

The Blackness and Forth Bridges Cruise departs from Hawes Pier in South Queensferry.

The deal is bookable online only – telephone bookings will not be accepted.

Wildlife & more

During your tour you’ll have plenty of opportunities to see a wide variety of marine wildlife. In addition, you will get great views of Blackness Castle, as featured in Outlander; the historic coastline of Fife, and Britain’s second Queen Elizabeth class aircraft carrier HMS Prince of Wales, currently under construction at Rosyth Dockyard.

And, of course, you will get to see the three Forth bridges as you have never seen them before.

Weatherproof comfort

Guests are welcome to enjoy the sea breeze and views from the outside decks, some of which have weatherproof seating.

If the weather is less inviting, the heated observation lounge has fantastic views without the rain.

A guided commentary means you won’t miss a thing wherever you sit.

There is a café-bar serving a selection of hot and cold drinks and light snacks.

Happy sailors

Forth Boat Tours has more than 660 TripAdvisor reviews and 97% of them rank the tours as excellent or very good. The following are excerpts from longer reviews:

‘Enjoyable trip. We have been on this trip a few times and have enjoyed every one… and for the first time I was able to make use of the bar as I was not driving. Even for people familiar with the area, the boat trip gives passengers a good way to see the many landmarks, the bridges, the seals and the other wildlife from a new perspective. There are some great photo opportunities; all made the more engaging by the running commentary giving some interesting facts and stories along the way…’

‘Excellent way to photograph the three bridges…A great day out for the family. Kids love it.’
