Whether you’re a Les Misérables kinda person, all about the Kinky Boots or prefer a darker tale from an obscure writer that none of your friends have heard of, Edinburgh has it covered.
Where ever your theatrical tastes lie, a show will always be more enjoyable after a bite to eat and a glass of Prosecco.
Raise the curtain on a meal for two with today’s Big Deal from The Terrace Restaurant.
The restaurant is part of the Crowne Plaza Edinburgh on Royal Terrace, just around the corner from Edinburgh Playhouse.
The Terrace Restaurant is in the Crowne Plaza on Royal Terrace – one of Edinburgh’s finest Georgian streets.
The smart, contemporary restaurant is located on the ground floor and opens out onto the hotel’s beautiful, private, terraced gardens.
Available from noon to 7pm, seven days a week, the offer is for two people to each have a two course meal from the lunch/pre-theatre menu along with a glass of Prosecco.
The menu changes, depending on the produce in season. Starters often include soup of the day, chicken liver parfait and the haggis and potato spring rolls.
Traditional mains might be the chicken tikka masala, the beer-battered haddock fillet and the steak, ale and mushroom pie.
There’s also a burger available, and the classic Caesar salad is always popular.
If you’ve got a sweet tooth, desserts may feature sticky toffee pudding, traditional cranachan, and a selection of ice cream.
The Terrace Restaurant has attracted good reviews on its 5pm page:

‘Good value. The food was excellent – with large portions.’ Rating 5/5
