Carefully researched, the tours are packed with great stories, fun anecdotes and a few tall tales that illustrate the diversity of the artists who have stayed, played and made music in the Scottish capital.

All the stories

Led by journalists and musicians, they tell all the tall tales from the People’s Festival Ceilidh to Rollermania and beyond. Covering folk to funk, pop to punk and past to present, these tours trace the people, venues and gigs that made Edinburgh’s music.

The 90 minute tours run every Saturday at 1pm and 3pm (plus 11am on 4th, 11th, 18th and 25th August).
