Foodies can be sooo annoying. They’re always the first to try out that hyped up new porridge bar hidden up a side street (where you have to whisper a secret password into the ear of a beardy hipster to even get in).
So why not beat them to it this time around by being the first to try out Chessel’s in Old Town?
Based in a landmark courtyard just off the Royal Mile, this sleek, recently-opened dining spot is offering up a Big Deal for a main course for two with vino.
Stylish dining in Old Town
Step inside of Chessel’s and you will find a sleek, woody interior in shades of caramel and blonde, with intimate flickering candlelight.
This Big Deal offers two people the chance to tuck into a main course with a glass of house wine each. It’s very flexible as it is available for lunch and dinner from Tuesday to Sunday until the 31st March.
Scotland on a plate
Chessel’s is a newly opened local, independently owned restaurant in the heart of the old town. Serving delicious homemade skewers and burgers with a difference, as well as scrummy small plates and decadent desserts, Chessel’s ticks a lot of dining out boxes.
With this deal, you can expect mains like skewers served with flatbread, beetroot & raisin coleslaw and mixed salad – flavours such as chicken and chorizo, Moroccan spiced lamb ball, and halloumi and sweet potato are available.
There are burgers available, including the house beef burger, the venison, brie and beetroot burger, and the spicy vegan burger amongst others.
Guests can even pick up the 8oz Tweed Valley-sourced flat iron steak with paprika plum tomato, mixed salad, garlic butter, Portobello mushroom and skinny fries.
Gluten-free wraps and burger buns are available – please advise in advance of dining.
Dinner for two with wine at a stylish new Scottish restaurant would make a very thoughtful gift for a couple.
Or you could just grab this Big Deal for yourself and make your foodie friends green with envy for getting to try that buzzy new restaurant before them. Hah!
