The most apt name for people from Edinburgh has long fuelled many a colourful discussion – especially in areas west of Polmont.
One of the more polite suggestions is the term ‘Edinburghers’.
We’re not sure it will catch on.
However, we’re absolutely certain that today’s Big Deal on a different sort of Edinburger looks set to be wildly popular.
Featuring a gourmet burger and chips plus drink, the offer is with the Buckstone Pub & Kitchen, next to the Braid Hills Hotel.
The bar was refurbished last year and the award-winning chefs now serve locally sourced food from the open kitchen.
The dining area looks very impressive with its thistle and stag’s head wallpaper, antler chandeliers and crystal decanter lamp shades.
The pub’s menus are just as Scottish with lots of splendid local ingredients making many an appearance.
With today’s Big Deal, two people can tuck into a freshly prepared, Angus beef burger topped with smoked cheddar, served with hand-cut chips, mixed leaves and a beetroot slaw.
As part of the offer, your delicious burger will be accompanied by either a pint of the house beer, a glass of wine or a soft drink.
With vouchers valid from 3pm to 9pm, Sunday to Thursday, until the beginning of September, there should be plenty of opportunity to enjoy your burger and drink in the sun on the Buckstone’s large terrace area.
With a burger in one hand, a pint in the other and fantastic views of Edinburgh spread out below, it sounds like a winning way to enjoy a warm summer evening.
Plenty of customers have enjoyed their experiences at the new Buckstone Pub & Kitchen before leaving their reviews on TripAdvisor:
‘Excellent. We had an early dinner here with our four year-old and it was fabulous! The fish served to our child was excellent. Great, fresh, delicious food and the staff were very good… Would highly recommend.’
‘Excellent local gastropub. Have been to the Pub & Kitchen twice now and thoroughly enjoyed our meal both times. Good food, well cooked and well presented…’
Edinburghers, rise up and seize today’s Big Deal with the Buckstone Pub & Kitchen, one of the capital’s more stylish gastropubs.
