A few years back, Williamsburg in New York became so achingly hip that it almost went into orbit.
But in recent years its neighbour, Bushwick, has been sneakily seizing the Crown of Untouchable Coolness from it.
So in honour of this (and because it’s pretty hip itself), Broughton Street diner, Tribeca, has recently rebranded itself as Bushwick.
Bu while menus have been updated, you can still expect the same classic American comfort food that has made the venue a success.
Try it out for yourself with this Big Deal on any two burgers or hot dogs (or maybe even treat someone to it as a stocking filler or Secret Santa gift).
NYC-style burgers and hot dogs
Bushwick serves up a certain kind of New York fare. It’s the kind you might expect to find after you’ve wandered into a bohemian Brooklyn diner at 2am (rather than on Broughton Street at a slightly more civilised hour).
You and a friend can sample it with this offer for any two burger or hot dogs, which would be perfect for a lunch pitstop or meal before a movie.
This offer is available seven days a week until the 31st March, so you have plenty of time to enjoy it.
You can choose from any two of the following burgers or hot dogs, all with house fries included:
The Bushwick Burger; The Animal Farm (£2 supplement); The Justice Burger; The Nacho Libre; The Dolly Dynasty; The Freedom Tower; The East London; The Kim Burger (£2 supplement); What the Cluck
That’ll Do Pig; The Nacho Dog; The Vegan Dog
Although drinks aren’t included in this offer, you might want to wash down your meal with an ice cream float or one of Bushwick’s rich and creamy shakes.
A recent customer to the newly rebranded Bushwick had this to say on Facebook:
‘Lovely first visit to Bushwick. Staff were very friendly & v. chilled atmosphere. Great choice of food. I went for the breakfast pancake which was uber tasty (2 pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausages, hash browns & lashing of maple syrup) and I had the gluten free option. This is a brilliant place for anyone on a gluten free diet. Bushwick can do a gluten free option for most things on their menu. Huge thumbs up and will definitely be back.’
Secret Santa or stocking filler
While this offer would make a great comfort food treat for you and a friend, it is also a fun Christmas gift idea.
So if you’re currently racking your brains about what to buy someone, we’re betting that they’ll appreciate a meal at Bushwick a whole lot more than novelty snowman socks.
