The four-star Bayswell Park Hotel boasts a spectacular cliff-top location overlooking the Firth of Forth all the way to the Bass Rock.

Spring or summer getaway

Today’s Big Deal is for an overnight stay in a hot tub room with a view.

Option one of the deal includes afternoon tea and is available Monday to Wednesday only.

Option two includes a bottle of Prosecco on arrival and a two course a la carte meal, available Thursday to Sunday only.

Both options include full Scottish breakfast.

Your spacious, boutique-style room will have its own private balcony with a hot tub overlooking the Firth of Forth, so that you can relax, enjoy a warm soak and admire the sunset.

Please note that there will be a £30 supplement per room for Friday and Saturday stays.

Afternoon tea

Guests selecting option one will each enjoy afternoon tea, which includes the following:

Carrot cake with cream cheese icing; Jodie’s famous Raw Tiramisu cake; scone selection (plain, cheese, fruit); banana loaf; house made sausage rolls; hand-picked selection of finger sandwiches.

Dine with a view

The Bayswell’s cliff-top restaurant serves up classic British cuisine with a European twist. If you choose option two of the deal you will both be dining on two courses from the a la carte menu.

Menus can shift with the seasons, but typical starters include soup of the day with house made 3 way cooked croutons; duck pate, served with aged balsamic vinegar and French melba toast; and smoked salmon blinis.

Expect mains such as the free range chicken stuffed with haggis, mashed potato, carrot and red wine jus; Bayswell fish pie, creamed mash potato and mixed seasonal vegetables; or the vegetarian moussaka served with crumbed goats cheese, wild garlic and rocket.

Ice cream, crème brûlée and carrot cake are examples of desserts on offer at the hotel.

Discover Dunbar

Dunbar is an attractive coastal town with a 13th-century castle and picturesque harbour.

For those that enjoy braving the elements, this is great walking country. The East Lothian coastline is a superb location for beach walks, with miles of golden beaches at Yellowcraig, Belhaven Bay and Gullane Bents.

The imposing medieval fortress of Tantallon is a popular choice for a coastal walk from Dunbar.
