Winter is many things to many people.
The one thing it is not – at least for most of us – is cosy.
Luckily, a refreshing getaway is on the cards with today’s Big Deal on a stay in a luxury lodge in Broxmouth estate.
Once home to the Duke of Roxburghe, Broxmouth has welcomed everyone from Queen Victoria and Oliver Cromwell to, rather more recently, Gary Barlow.
It is easy to see what might have attracted them.
Featuring 150 acres of beautiful parkland, the East Lothian estate has an enviable coastal location and is convenient for many of the East Coast’s best golf courses.
Soak it all in from the comfort of the lakeside hot tub with today’s Big Deal on a one or two night stay at Broxmouth Park’s Lodge by the Lake.
Built to the very highest standard in luxury living, The Lodge by the Lake has breathtaking views over the lake at Broxmouth.
This exclusive lodge also comes with a recently installed hot tub where guests can relax with a bottle of bubbly and watch the swans go idling by, or maybe catch a glimpse of the deer in the distance.
Hamper and Prosecco
Available Sunday to Thursday, the Big Deal is for a one or two night stay for two people in The Lodge by the Lake.
As well as a luxury welcome hamper, you will find a bottle of Prosecco waiting for you and can relax with an afternoon tea.
The recently developed lodge has been exquisitely designed to the highest standards, and provides the perfect destination a romantic getaway.
The Lodge by the lake consists of a living area, breakfast bar with cooking facilities, leading into a contemporary bedroom with full en-suite.
We may have mentioned the hot tub?
Afternoon tea at Bayswell
Available from noon to 4pm, afternoon tea is taken at the nearby Bayswell Park Hotel. Perched on a cliff top beside the Firth of Forth, the breathtaking views are a perfect accompaniment.
The afternoon tea includes the likes of beautiful scones, smoked Salmon with hollandaise; rare Beef with rocket and horseradish; banoffee pie, petit lemon meringue, rocky road and classic Victoria sponge. The menu is subject to seasonal changes.
The hotel’s exquisite loose leaf tea is supplied by PM David Silva & Sons.
See & do
Broxmouth’s location is close to numerous walkways, coastal paths and opportunities for surfers, body boards and snorkelers in possession of a wetsuit.
Local attractions include the Museum of Flight which provides tours of Concorde, the Seabird Centre, local markets and a prestigious racecourse.
There are several golf courses within the local area, a swimming pool with its own wave machine, leisure facilities and highly acclaimed restaurants, bars and shops.
Of course, Broxmouth is also just a short drive to Edinburgh city centre.
Broxmouth has may fans on TripAdvisor:
‘Lovely, quiet evening away in a stunning location… the pictures don’t do it justice. Stayed in The Lodge on the Lake and very much enjoyed a glass of bubbly in the hot tub on a chilly January evening. Would definitely recommend.’
‘On our way home from two blissful nights at The Lodge on the Lake. Chillaxing in the hot tub was just what we needed.’
The Big Deal on a romantic stay at The Lodge on the Lake would be perfect for a break to get over the festive period, as the offer is valid until the end of April 2018.
It would also make a very thoughtful gift, if you know anyone who would enjoy a romantic getaway at the start of the year.
Book into Broxmouth Park and fire up the hot tub.
