Escape everything for a night or two

Just a 90-minute drive from Glasgow, the Cairndale Hotel & Leisure Club is an easy to reach escape. Available Sunday to Friday until 31st July, the offer is for a one or two night stay for two.

Option one is for an overnight stay with a full Scottish breakfast and two-course meal (starter and main) from the table d’hote menu, plus a bottle of house wine to share.

Option two is for a two night B&B stay – note this option does not include dinner or wine.

Option three is for a two night B&B stay with the two-course dinner and bottle of wine on the first night.

All options include full leisure club access and a lovely, lazy late checkout of 1pm.

Note that there is a £10 supplement for Friday night stays. You can also upgrade to a superior room for £15 a night. Or why not extend your break by buying multiples?

Relax in a comfy room

Prices are based on two people sharing a standard twin or double room. All guest rooms include an ensuite bathroom, complimentary refreshments, TV, hairdryer and iron with ironing board.

Free parking and free WiFi will help make your stay as convenient as possible. Plus regular music nights mean that you might even get to enjoy a bit of entertainment during your stay.

Make the most of the leisure club

Free to use for all guests, The Barracuda Club offers a fully heated swimming pool, sauna, steam room, spa pool and fully equipped gym with air conditioning (a session in the spa pool is a great way to relax after a day of walking and exploring).

It also has a spa salon where guests can enjoy a range of pampering options such as aromatherapy massage, reflexology and beauty treatments (not included in this offer).

Dine on a two-course meal with wine

At the hotel’s Reivers Restaurant, a range of classic British and traditional Scottish dishes are served.

If you choose options one or three, then you can enjoy a starter and main from the table d’hôte menu accompanied by a bottle of house wine to share.

Dishes can change, but typical choices might include confit duck leg bon-bons or cream of lentil soup to start, followed by mains like roast silverside of beef with all the trimmings; salmon & hake fish cafes with dill dressing, and mushroom risotto topped with poached egg.

Dessert isn’t included, but you might find it hard to resist temptations like Eton mess or Eve’s pudding with custard.

Explore the area

The Cairndale is happy to help guests make the most of the numerous golfing opportunities in the local area, while castle visits, mountain biking and quad driving are also available nearby.

Other attractions include the Robert Burns House and the Dumfries & Galloway Aviation Museum. The Peter Pan Moat Brae Trust heritage centre is opening in June 2019 and will be just a 10-minute walk from the hotel.

Nature lovers may want to spend some time at the Caerlaverock Wildfowl and Wetland Trust, a 20-minute drive away.
