One or two night break

Just a 90-minute drive from Glasgow, the Cairndale Hotel & Leisure Club is an easy to reach escape. Available Sunday to Friday from early January until the end of March 2020, this offer has three options:

Option one is for a one night stay with full Scottish breakfast in the morning.

Option two is the same with a two course dinner each.

Option three is for a two night stay with a two course dinner each on the first evening.

All options include full leisure club access and a lovely, lazy late checkout of 1pm.

Relax in a comfy room

Prices are based on two people sharing a standard twin or double room. All guest rooms include an ensuite bathroom, complimentary refreshments, TV, hairdryer and iron with ironing board.

Free parking and free WiFi will help make your stay as convenient as possible. Plus regular music nights mean that you might even get to enjoy a bit of entertainment during your stay.

Make the most of the leisure club

Free to use for all guests, The Barracuda Club offers a fully heated swimming pool, sauna, steam room, spa pool and fully equipped gym with air conditioning (a session in the spa pool is a great way to relax after a day of walking and exploring).

It also has a spa salon where guests can enjoy a range of pampering options such as aromatherapy massage, reflexology and beauty treatments (not included in this offer).

Dine on a two-course meal

At the hotel’s Reivers Restaurant, a range of classic British and traditional Scottish dishes are served.

If you choose options two or three, then you can enjoy a starter and main from the chef’s menu of the day.

The menu is subject to change, but could look something like this:

Ham hock terrine, with oatcakes & poachers chutney

Roasted parsnip & apple soup, served with a crusty bread roll

Mains

Roasted turkey, with seasonal trimmings, rich pan gravy, potatoes & vegetables

Grilled fillet of cod, with caper & lemon butter, potatoes & vegetables

Penne pasta, with tomato sauce, parmesan shavings & garlic bread

Rib eye steak, served with garlic mushtooms, roasted tomato & French fries, £7.50 supplement

Dessert isn’t included, but you might find it hard to resist temptations like chocolate mousse or Eve’s pudding with custard.

The Cairndale is happy to help guests make the most of the numerous golfing opportunities in the local area, while castle visits, mountain biking and quad biking are also available nearby.

Other attractions include the Robert Burns House and the Dumfries & Galloway Aviation Museum. The Peter Pan Moat Brae Trust heritage centre is just a 10-minute walk from the hotel.

Nature lovers may want to spend some time at the Caerlaverock Wildfowl and Wetland Trust, a 20-minute drive away.
