Ever wanted to hang ten while riding the barrel of a killer wave?
Or maybe you fancy yourself as a crusher who can totally carve a Big Momma?
To be honest, the Big Deal team is a little unsure what most of that means but we do know that today’s Big Deal is the, err, dope.
We can’t pretend that we can teach you beach bum lingo but today’s deal with Rosy Surf N Skate can help you get started in the noble art of surfing.
Rosy Surf N Skate are based in Derry but, depending on where the best surfing conditions are, they hold their surf school classes at either Culdaff or Ballyliffen Beaches. Both beaches are around a 30-40 minute drive from Derry.
All the instructors are experienced surfers who can provide expert tuition to fellow surfers of all levels, abilities and ages.
Whether you want to improve your trickier techniques or simply want a few clues as to which way up the board should be facing, the Rosy Surf N Skate instructors have the answer.
As well as having put in the hours on the waves, each instructor is also a beach lifeguard and the school is fully insured.
The surf school lessons and the times at which they take place are dependant on the swell, tide and weather conditions.
The school can’t guarantee the perfect surfing conditions but they can and do equip all their surf scholars with the necessary soft top surf boards and wetsuits.
Of course, a beach safety lesson is part of the class.
It doesn’t matter if you can’t tell a chubbie from a cheater five and we certainly can’t. The Rosy Surf N Skate crew can help get you on a board and riding a wave.
If you want to start preparing for next year’s surf championships then today’s Big Deal is:
£15 for a surf lesson with Rosy Surf N Skate in Derry; a 50% saving on the standard £30
