The Scottish countryside in spring can be a starkly beautiful spectacle, the sort of thing that can inspire poets.

Room options

Option one of this Big Deal is for two people to enjoy an overnight stay in a double room in the Kirk House at Enterkine House Hotel.

Option two is for an overnight stay for two in a Deluxe double room in the Main House at Enterkine.

Both options are available seven nights a week and include a full Ayrshire breakfast in the morning and a two course dinner from the set menu in the sumptuous Browne’s Restaurant.

Thoughtful extras include a 200ml bottle of Prosecco on arrival and late check-out. After all, as Burns wrote, ‘up in the morning’s no for me’.

Note that Friday and Saturday night stays carry a £10 supplement.

Elegant accommodation

The main house offers six sumptuous Deluxe bedrooms with glorious views over the estate’s woodland.

In keeping with Enterkine’s luxury hotel status, the spacious rooms with high ceilings and large windows are individually furnished and decorated in a traditional style.

Kirk House is a substantial detached converted farmhouse in the grounds of the estate. A two minute walk from the main house, it has six comfortable cottage-style bedrooms with ensuite shower rooms.

Superb dining

The offer includes the opportunity to enjoy a two course dinner in Browne’s Restaurant, a refined and elegant space with an inviting atmosphere and great forest views.

The culinary creations live up to the setting. Master chef Paul Moffat uses freshly-sourced, local ingredients in his creative contemporary menus, stylishly presented.

The menus change regularly, according to seasonal availability. Typical dishes might include breast of guinea fowl with aromatic red cabbage, salsify and morels; fillet of red mullet with baby fennel, asparagus and wild mushrooms, and iced honey parfait served with granola crumble, toffee sauce and golden raisins.
