The Big Deal is for hire of a 4 berth VW T25 camper, sleeping up to 4.

Option 1 is for 3 night weekend hire, valid 04.01.19 until 29.03.19. Collect on Friday from 2pm; return by Monday 10am. Excludes Monday – Thursday.

Option 1 bookings must be made by 08.03.19 at latest or risk forfeit of purchase.

Option 2 is for 4 night midweek hire, valid 07.01.19 until 25.03.19. Collect on Monday from 2pm; return by Friday 10am. Excludes Friday – Sunday.

Option 3 is for 7 night hire, valid 07.01.19 until 25.03.19. Collect on Monday from 2pm; return by Monday 10am.

Option 2 & 3 bookings must be made by 04.03.19 at latest or risk forfeit of purchase.

Minimum £500 deposit (by card) required upon pick up. This will be refunded in full when dropped off if clean with no internal or external damage; at full discretion of The Tartan Camper Co.

Deal includes 2 man tent; portable gas cooker with gas; bike rack; sat nav; bedding for 2; 2 towels.

Additional equipment available: awning – £60; inflatable mattress and foot pump for use in awning – £20; 4 man tent – £40; Porta Potti with toilet tent – £45; camping chairs – £7 each; child camping chair – £2 each; portable BBQ buckets with utensils and coals – £25; additional driver insurance – £9 per day.

Pick-up and drop-off times may be negotiated, at the discretion of The Tartan Camper Co.

Vans can be collected at The Tartan Camper Co base in Saltcoats and your car can be left during trip in a secure location. Pick-up service from Kilwinning Station is available.

Cancellations must be submitted in writing with a minimum of 8 weeks’ notice or you risk forfeiting your voucher. Amendments & rescheduling should be made with as much notice as possible, a minimum of at least 7 days before hire is required.

Hire can be extended for a supplement; please discuss directly when booking.

Vans are 4 berth VW T25s campers (Bruce, Archie, Lotty or Bonnie). Each campervan is fitted with a two-burner gas stove; grill; refrigerator; sink with drainage; water tank. Vans are also supplied with electrical fan heaters which can be used at campsites.

Strict no smoking policy in vans.

Children permitted and included in head count. Car seats & booster seats are not provided and should be supplied by customers, if required.

Max 1 dog permitted. A supplement of £50 with an additional deposit of £150 required – payable directly to The Tartan Camper Co.

Drivers must be over the age of 25 and under 70 and have held a valid licence for at least two years. Ages outside this bracket may be insured with an additional premium, subject to The Tartan Camper Co insurer’s discretion.

Driving licences with penalty points maybe subject to a surcharge and must be declared before hire – please discuss directly.

Driving licence to be produced on collection of vehicle. On collection of vehicle, hirer will need to provide a form of ID along with a recent utility bill (original only).

Fully comprehensive insurance is provided within the hire charge and for the hire period only – driving outside this period of cover would deem to be an offence under the Road Traffic Act.

In the event of an accident, loss or damage, the hirer will be liable to pay the first £600 of any incident resulting in a claim. Insurance covers UK only.

Please also advise at the time of booking if any drivers in the last 5 years have been convicted of an offence in connection with the driving of a motor vehicle or motorcycle and/or have had their driving licence endorsed or suspended or penalty points imposed; suffer from any mental or physical defect or infirmity or from fits, diabetes or any heart complaint; have had insurance declined and/or renewal refused and/or special insurance terms imposed as a result of claims experience and/or have had their insurance or cover cancelled by any motor insurer.

Full tank of unleaded petrol is supplied with the vehicle at start of hire and should to be returned with a full tank. A £30 charge will apply for any fuel shortage plus the amount needed to fill tank which will be taken from the deposit.

Late returns will be subject to a charge of £40 per hour. No refund is given for early vehicle returns.

Subject to availability and allocation. The beginning and end of validity period is often busiest. Please book early to avoid disappointment.
