Life looks rosier when you are, well, covered in rose oil during a pampering massage on an overnight hotel stay.
And if that hotel should be a grand four star mansion on the Ayrshire Coast, then all the better.
Escape the winter weather with this Big Deal for a stay for two at the Marine Hotel in Troon. With dinner and an Elemis spa treatment each included, you will soon be basking in a rosy glow.
Available until next year, this would make a very deluxe Christmas gift.
Landmark Troon hotel
Less than an hour from Glasgow and right on the doorstep of the Royal Troon Golf Club, the Marine Hotel is a gem of the Ayrshire coast.
Purpose built in 1894, the hotel was given 4 AA stars in 1912 and has maintained that rating ever since – the only Scottish hotel to have done so.
This Big Deal is for an overnight stay for two staying in standard double or twin room.
Breakfast, a two course dinner in the Truin Restaurant and either an Elemis body treatment or facial is included too. As well as this, you can make full use of the lovely leisure facilities.
This offer is available seven days until 31st March 2019 (excluding selected festive season dates), with a £30 supplement per room for Saturday night stays.
Elemis treatment for face or body
During your stay, you and your partner can immerse yourselves in either a Garden of England Rose Restore hydrating massage or an Elemis skin-specific booster facial. Both treatments will last 55 minutes.
The massage is the equivalent of taking a stroll through an English flower garden and is designed to moisturise, hydrate and renew your skin.
Your body will be anointed with a unique trio of rose, camelina and poppy seed oils, leaving it supple, scented and moisturised.
(Given that rose is such an amorous scent, we can’t think of a better shared spa experience for a couple).
Alternatively, you could opt for an Elemis skin-specific booster facial, which will be tailored to your own unique concerns, such as stressed or sensitive skin.
Afterwards, expect a smoother, softer, more radiant complexion.
A two course dinner from the main menu in the Truin Restaurant is included in this offer.
Devoted to keeping things fresh and locally sourced, the kitchen serves seasonally inspired menus using local ingredients.
As well as overlooking the Royal Troon, the dining room also has views to Arran – perfect for a clear, moonlit night.
Golf & leisure
As we mentioned, you will be able to make of the spa’s soothing leisure facilities during your stay, including the gym, heated indoor pool, sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi and solarium.
Needless to say, the hotel is also a golfer’s paradise, who love the fact that the Truin Restaurant overlooks the 18th hole of the Royal Troon course.
Explore the Ayrshire Coast
As well as the Royal Troon (and 29 other golf courses in the area), there is no shortage of fun things to do nearby.
For instance, the Burns National Heritage Park, Culzean Castle and Ayr Racecourse are three very popular attractions.
Or you could just enjoy a bracing winter walk along the beach and work up an appetite for your evening meal.
The Marine Hotel in Troon has long been a hit with guests. Edited for length, this is what recent visitors had to say on TripAdvisor:
‘Great beach & spa stay… it was brilliant! Check in was quick and easy, reception staff were so nice and helpful. Our twin room had a lovely sea view, it was clean and warm. Comfy beds and good toiletries. As it was a beautiful day, we wandered down to the beach (5 min walk away) for a picnic & prosecco then came back to the spa for our 5.30pm massages. They were amazing! Best massage I’ve had. The spa is really nice, very quiet as well. The pool was warm and looked out onto the beach, was lovely swimming & jacuzzing looking out at the gorgeous sunset!... lots of choice on the menu, and the food was excellent. As was the wine! Breakfast the following morning was also great, hot buffet and continental available. After check out we walked along the beach to Troon town, lots of lovely little shops and cafes to wander round. All in all a great stay… great location, views, food, amenities and service. We are looking forward to our next trip already!’
