The Mercure Ayr Hotel has many admirers on TripAdvisor. We have edited the following recent comments for length:
‘Efficient check in followed by a hearty early evening dinner. Restaurant staff were professional and friendly… Breakfast on both days was excellent with a wide choice of well cooked food. I had a very comfortable room… enjoyed a fabulous sleep on both nights. The location of the hotel is central and it is extremely comfortable. All this is very positive, but I still think this hotel’s best asset is its staff. Everyone I encountered was just so helpful.’
‘Superb location for shops and pubs. Loved this hotel. Really pleased with our room. The bed was lovely. The bathroom could be updated but the room was spotlessly clean and everything was there that we required. The meal we had in the restaurant was faultless… Breakfast was buffet style and was very good with all elements being regularly replaced. Staff were friendly and pleasant…’
‘Had a great stay in this hotel. The hotel is very central, almost next door to the theatre, a few steps from the main shopping centre and about five minutes walk from the beach. This hotel might not be the most modern hotel in Ayr but it is welcoming, has pleasant helpful staff, food is excellent and the rooms are clean, beds are comfortable, with good quality pillows. We were all very happy…’
Valid from April until the end of June, this Big Deal would make a fantastic present for anyone who could use a refreshing break.
Ayr has long attracted leisure visitors and there is always plenty to see and do in the town and the surrounding countryside.
Even if you don’t play golf.
