Today’s Big Deal on a one or two night break at the four star Piersland House in Troon is the ideal way to enjoy the winter.

Set in its own gardens, right in the heart of Burns country, this elegant, Tudor hotel overlooks the Royal Troon Golf Course and is a short walk from the sweeping beach at Troon.

Designed in a charming country house style, the building was originally the family home of the Johnnie Walker whisky family and many fine examples of the distiller’s art can be sampled in the hotel’s bars.

One or two night stay

• Available seven days per week, this Big Deal has several options.

• There is an option for a one night stay with full Scottish breakfast and an option for a two night stay with breakfast each morning.

• Both options are available for a standard, lodge, mews (cottage) and superior double or twin room.

• A two course table d’hôte menu on the first evening is also included in the offer.

• There is a supplement of £10 for Saturday night stays.

Stylish rooms

• Many of the rooms at the Piersland were refurbished at the start of 2017. While featuring a warm, contemporary decor in the rooms, the hotel has retained its considerable period charms.

• All of the individually appointed bedrooms are en suite and feature a queen bed, flat screen televisions, satellite channels, free WiFi and hot drinks trays.

• Some rooms have views of the golf course or the hotel’s landscaped gardens.

Local produce

• The kitchen brigade uses local produce as much as they can. The menus change regularly but popular main courses include the chargrilled pork loin steak with Stornoway black pudding and red wine jus or the chicken breast with haggis and whisky ‘café au lait’ sauce.

• Steak dishes are not included in this offer.
