Bread & breakfast
For £89, two people can stay one night with a full Scottish breakfast at Munro’s boutique B&B.
The offer includes a bread making class for both guests at Bute Bread School. The school operates from Munro’s B&B.
To extend your stay, for £125 two people can enjoy a two night stay with a full Scottish breakfast and a bread making class for two.
If you just fancy the bread making course, one person can attend a bread making class not including accommodation for £39.
Classes include a light lunch and tea and coffee. As well as a set of notes with bread recipes, apprentice bakers can take home the bread made on the day.
Bread making classes take place on Wednesdays and Saturdays, 11am-4pm. Guests with option one or option two vouchers must stay at Munro’s on the night prior to the class.
Munro’s is a comfortable B&B that sits on a hill near the village of Ardbeg on Bute and was recently featured on the BBC programme Holiday of my Lifetime hosted by Len Goodman.
A friendly, family-run home with stunning views across Rothesay Bay, the B&B has an acre of beautiful gardens. On fine mornings, you can have your breakfast on the terrace and you may even spot a fish in the lily-pond.
All of Munro’s six, stylishly decorated rooms are ensuite – one with a whirlpool bath – and they also feature flat screen TVs, wireless broadband access, tea and coffee making facilities, underfloor heating in the bathrooms and luxury shower gel and hand soap.
Munro’s has wowed lots of previous guests and it scores a top five stars on TripAdvisor. This is
what a recent visitor had to say:
‘This place is a real find… Sophisticated but low key, unobtrusive hosting at its best. My husband and I are frequent visitors to Bute and this place is quite unique. More boutique hotel than B&B with hotel quality beds and a lovely residents’ lounge with a huge log burner and the same quietly understated style. Breakfast is served in the conservatory with amazing views… choice of anything you could possibly want for breakfast and delicious homemade bread straight from the oven (we ordered some to take home with us and it was ready for us when we were leaving)…’
As we mentioned, this offer is valid until the 20th of March. Enjoy an island getaway and bread making class on Bute and you can look forward to freshly made bread for the rest of 2015.
Bread and breakfast: it is the gift that keeps giving.
