Each of the nine gorgeous bedrooms have well appointed en-suite bathrooms stocked with a selection of quality toiletries, cotton wool, tissues, shaving mirror and good selection of soft towels.
Fresh & local
Guests are welcome to dine in the hotel’s elegant restaurant. Fresh local produce is to the fore on the regularly changing menus.
Popular dishes include the traditional peat-smoked haddock leek and potato chowder; the seared chicken escalope with a white wine, Stilton, celery and apple sauce and the pork medallions which are slowly roasted along with shallot onions and apple then served with a mustard and cream sauce.
The outdoor terrace is available for sipping drinks before dinner, chatting over coffee after dinner or simply enjoying the magnificent views and listening to the waves break on the shore below.
The restaurant is closed on Sundays, Mondays and Thursdays.

From visiting the neo-Gothic splendour of Mount Stuart to rounds of golf via gentle cycling trips on almost deserted roads, the Isle of Bute offers plenty of fun activities. Horse riding is a popular past time on the island as are water sports, diving, angling and, of course, making the most of the isle’s many coastal walks.

‘Absolutely stunning location on the Isle of Bute, not too far from the main town of Rothesay… The room was very clean and nicely decorated. We were in the basic room rather than the upgrade but it was still very nice and comfortable.
‘We went to the restaurant one night and the food was delicious and very well prepared and we had a lovely evening. The staff were all very welcoming and attentive and took the time to talk to you. Overall we had a lovely stay at the hotel and would highly recommend it!’
