During a stay this September, a guest at Stonefield Castle Hotel proposed to his partner while strolling around the grounds.
According to his glowing review of the hotel on TripAdvisor, she is now his fiancée.
It wasn’t the first proposal to take place at Stonefield Castle Hotel and it won’t be the last.
It’s that kind of place.

Stonefield Castle Hotel has bowled over many a guest. This recent TripAdvisor contribution says it all. We’ve edited it for length:
‘Perfect match. Stonefield castle was exactly what we were looking for. A lot of character, beautiful grounds, secluded, amazing views, a sense of privacy and great service… Rooms are big and airy (some with Loch Fyne views), nicely appointed with classic furniture, bathrooms are perfectly upgraded. Food was good nothing more, a bit of a slow service… we love the Baronial style building, the grand staircase with large paintings on the walls, the fireplace and the wood panelling, especially enjoyed the Bar, The library, and the play room (pool table). All things considered, our stay was a great success…’
