The Royal Oban Hotel is the ideal base for sightseeing, coastal walks and, as it is near to the ferry terminal and harbour, a day trip to Mull or Iona.

Based in a 19th century building, the hotel stands in the centre of town and offers traditional Scottish hospitality in modern surroundings.

This Big Deal has three options:

Option one is for an overnight stay for two with full Scottish breakfast.

Option two is for an overnight stay for two with full Scottish breakfast and a three course set dinner each.

Option three is for a two-night stay with full Scottish breakfast each morning, a three course set dinner on the first night and a glass of fizz each.

You can make the most of this offer seven days a week until the 31st of March 2019 (excluding some dates).

Children and dogs are also welcome, which you can arrange directly with the hotel.

Comfy rooms

The Royal Oban Hotel has 91 bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms, TVs, hairdryers, direct dial phones and tea & coffee making facilities.

Rooms are decorated in a traditional style with cosy splashes of tartan. Some also offer a lovely view of Oban Bay.

Three course meal

With options two and three, you can enjoy a three course meal for two from a set menu.

The Morvern is a 170 seat restaurant that overlooks the Town Square and serves an excellent selection of Scottish cuisine.

Explore Oban

As well as being the departure point for ferries to Mull and Iona, Oban and the surrounding area are packed with great things to see and do. From a tour of Oban Distillery to a Seafari Adventure via whale watching, you will have plenty to entertain you.

If you or your partner are golfers, then nearby courses include Glencruitten, Craignure and Dalmally.

Other highlights include Dunstaffnage Castle, historic Inveraray Jail and the colourful coastal garden of Arduaine.

‘Have just returned from 2 nights at the Royal and would recommend this hotel. The rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean and lovely and warm, had a great night’s sleep in the very comfortable bed. Breakfast had a fantastic choice of both hot and cold food and was delicious. Entertaining provided free of charge on both evenings and the hotel staff could not have been more helpful and all were very pleasant. Yes the hotel is old and has creaking floorboards and a very old lift but for the price paid I was pleasantly surprised and would certainly stay here again.’
