The Loch Melfort Hotel has attracted lots of enthusiastic reviews from happy visitors on TripAdvisor, including the following recent ones:
‘We had two fantastic nights staying in the Loch Melfort Hotel, near Oban. We visited the town of Oban, took a ride on a small boat with Duncan and saw a Seal with pups, and a salmon farm. The views are breathtaking. Thank you to the Staff at Loch Melfort for making us so welcome, everything was perfect, really comfortable room with a view of the Loch, and great food too. We enjoyed the drive down from Edinburgh taking in the sights. We would highly recommend, and hope to return.’
‘Service from all staff first class. Lovely picturesque views from most rooms. Beds comfortable and good facilities in bedroom. Situation good beside Arduaine Gardens, best visited in spring when rhododendrons are in bloom. Also near to other Gardens and small interesting ports. Not far from Oban where ferries leave for Islands such as Iona. Oban also has a variety of seafood restaurants and tourist shops. Could not find any thing negative to say about this hotel.’
After a couple of months of cocooning indoors, the new year is definitely the time for a change of scenery. And where better to head than a comfy loch-side hotel with some of Scotland’s best scenery?
