Fresh & local

Guests are welcome to dine in the hotel’s elegant restaurant. Fresh local produce is to the fore on the regularly changing menus.

Starters include dishes such as traditional Cullen skink or French onion soup. For a main course you might choose the seared chicken escalope or the poached fresh salmon.

There are also a range of desserts to choose from, such as the honey whipped meringue and the homemade apple pie.

See & do on Bute

From rounds of golf to gentle cycling trips on almost deserted roads, the Isle of Bute offers plenty of fun activities. Horse riding is a popular past time on the island as are water sports, diving and, of course, making the most of the isle’s many coastal walks.

The West Island Way Walk starts in a wee village close by and is just one of the breathtaking walks available on the island.

A popular destination for fishing, the inland lochs are popular with anglers for coarse and game fishing. Loch Fad offers anglers an opportunity to fish for rainbow trout and is only three miles from the house. Anyone with an interest in sea angling will be spoilt for choice.
