Belonging to the Anchor Hotel in Tarbert, the barge is the most luxurious accommodation in this part of Argyll.
The cabin décor features chic furnishings, maritime wood tones and all the modern amenities. These include wet rooms with power showers, Arran Aromatics toiletries, wireless broadband and i-home Bluetooth connective radio/docking station.
Available seven days, the Big Deal is for two people to have an overnight stay in a kingsize double cabin with full Scottish breakfast, and a bottle of wine and petit fours on arrival.
Options two and three extend the stay for two or three days for those who want to linger a little longer (£184 for two nights, £259 for a three nights).
Out and about
If life aboard inspires the urge to head out to sea, the islands of Islay, Arran or Gigha are a ferry ride away.
This is an historic region with Bruce’s castle in Tarbert, and the beautiful, well-preserved Skipness Castle a few miles to the South. There are even older relics at Kilmartin Glen, with its ancient standing stones.
Whisky aficionados will enjoy tracing the distillery trail around the islands and the Cowal Peninsula.

48 hours notice required for cancellations. Failure to give sufficient notice may invalidate purchase.
Multiple purchases permitted. Multiples cannot be used for consecutive nights.
Check-in from 2pm, check-out from 11am. There is the option to add late check out for a supplementary fee of £10, payable directly to hotel and subject to availability.
All cabins are superior grade with kingsize beds.
Stay may be extended by a night for a supplementary charge. Please discuss directly with hotel.
Breakfast served in hotel at the following times:
7.30am-9.30am weekdays;
8am-10am weekends.
Free parking available, maximum 1 car per cabin.
Children are permitted, maximum 1 child. Children under 14 years can be accommodated in cabins 1, 2 and 3 with extra bed. Please discuss when booking.
Children under 3 years require a supplementary charge of £10 per night for a cot in room. Children over 3 and under 14 years require a supplementary charge of £25 per night which includes breakfast; payable directly to hotel.
