About The River House
family afternoon tea
the restaurant were very accommodating to family members who preferred to pick from the menu rather than afternoon tea.
the sandwiches and cakes were very average, however the scones were lovely and tasty and still warm
Lovely birthday meal
Booked this place for my husband's birthday, lovely restaurant with great staff, this was my second time back. They were very nice with helping with the birthday cake we brought and had plenty varied options for some picky eaters.
Cosmopolitan Stirling restaurant with loch side setting
Based on the design of a traditional Scottish crannog, The River House Restaurant has a gorgeous loch side location at the foot of historic Stirling Castle. With its own conference facilities, the restaurant provides a stunning setting for any event and is particularly sought after for weddings.
Just a cannon shot away from the Castle and with a deck terrace for sundowners, it is also a great spot for romantic dinners, family celebrations and leisurely lunches.
Freshly prepared, quality cuisine
The River House Restaurant prides itself on serving freshly prepared, high quality meals. From Castle Mey rib-eye steaks and Ayrshire pork chops to Scottish king scallops and Inverury lamb, Scottish produce is very much to the fore.
The actual dishes switch smoothly between traditional choices such as the steak and craft ale pie and dishes with a more international flavour like the Thai beef sesame salad or the seared tuna steak with gnocchi. From breakfast to sharing platters of baked Camembert, Sunday roasts and pre-theatre menus, The River House Restaurant has menus and flavours for most occasions.
Stirling transport links and attractions
The River House Restaurant and Conference Centre is in Castle Business Park, just a minute away from Junction 10 of the M9 at Stirling. The River House has ample free car parking. Attractions such as Stirling Castle and the Wallace monument are a short drive.
